Catskill Mountains: Rustic Retreat
Somehow I managed to delete this old entry, so here it is again... If you haven't read Evelyn Gilbert's "Rustic Retreat", this is the time to check it out:

And, on another note, the second issue of the e-Marginalia newsletter came out several days before Christmas with the habitual fanfare! It included a new piece, "Car Culture Shock", that I wrote about re-adapting to US car norms after living abroad. It's a predictably lengthy reflection, but it captures some of the amusing bumps, bruises and victories that I experienced while become a car-owning American once again. Now if I were really savvy, I'd have recorded it to audio MP3 so you could download it to your player and listen during your morning commute. But, alas, it is mere digital scratchings instead. Sorry.
