Supper in Taipei
Fresh in from Taipei: Nana's supper!
Nana: It's from Betty's cookbook project. After the pork is cooked to perfection, it is placed on top of sticky rice that's seasoned with soy sauce and tossed with dried shrimp, Chinese sausage bits and bacon bits. Served in a large steamer. SO GOOD! George: Oh, I sure guessed wrong! Was thinking sea bass or maybe eel... Nana: Every bite had an intense flavor and delicate texture. George: Did Betty make it or you? Nana: Her friend from Toronto did. Marion flew to Taipei to cook these dishes passed down from her parents. She's gathering recipes from her friends, not herself, not me (since I cook mostly Western). Nana: So yummy, George.
