San Francisco: Embarcadero Waterfront
Good bye, NYC. Hello San Francisco! We flew out yesterday for a ten day jaunt on the other coast. My savvy wife jiggled and nudged our Continental coach tickets into better flight conditions than the First/Business class. Well, all except for the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies they served them just prior to arriving at SFO. We had a bulkhead row to ourselves with enough room stretch out and enjoy the flight.
Unfortunately Continental misplaced one of our ski boot bags which made for a thirty minute delay filing a complaint with a semi-surly attendant. (Good news: the boots were delivered at our trendy digs, the Hotel Vitale, last night after I fell asleep.) Then off to Hertz for an embarrassingly gas guzzling SUV to haul us, some friends and all of our gear up to Lake Tahoe for a week of skiing.
Click the links below for an audio review of our short stay in the city by the bay. Chowder, massage and an Embarcadero Waterfront pre-dawn jog. It's all there! And photos coming soon...
I've never been accused of being short-winded, and there's the proof! My audio post was too long, and it got abbreviated. Ooops. Here's part two:
Off to Sacramento. More updates will posted over the next couple of days, so check back for glimpses of a mountain wedding; skiing, falling and more skiing; a Benicia Art Studio touch-and-go; and a candid look at the much-hyped W San Francisco.
